Opened around 1891, the Kunsthistorisches Museum was intended for the Hapsburgs'to show off their impressive collection of art to the public. Today it still houses masterpieces by artists such as van Eyck, Dürer, Caravaggio, Raphael, Rembrandt, Vermeer and Rubens amongst other masters of art.

Tickets for the Kunsthistorische Museum are available in the combined ticket: “Treasures of the Habsburgs”. With this combi ticket you will also get entrance to Kunstkammer Vienna, Imperial Treasury Vienna & Neue Burg. Tickets are valid for 1 year so you can choose when to visit the museums and it's even possible to visit the museums on separate dates. You can find more information on your voucher.

Take subway train U3 to the Volkstheater station
Take street car D to the Burgring/Kunsthistorisches Museum stop.
